ASR — Automatic Speech Recognition
Technology that converts human speech into written text in real time.
ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) is the technology that enables computers to "hear" and understand human speech. In a Voice AI agent, ASR is the first step — it listens to the customer and converts what's said into text the system can process. According to Google Research, modern ASR accuracy reaches 95%+ in English and 90%+ in Hebrew (Source: Google Speech Research, 2024). Advanced ASR technologies include Neural Speech Recognition, Streaming ASR (real-time recognition), and Speaker Diarization (speaker separation).
