Webhook
A mechanism that allows one system to automatically send data to another system when a specific event occurs.
A Webhook is the bridge between a Voice AI agent and business systems. When an event occurs during a call — for example, a customer requests an appointment — the agent sends a webhook with the data (name, date, time) to the business's calendar system. Webhooks enable integration with any system: CRM, calendar, booking system, and more. According to Zapier, businesses using webhooks save 10+ hours of manual work per week (Source: Zapier, 2024).
